Raami is only seven years old when the Khmer Rouge regime comes to power in Cambodia and she is swept from an idyllic childhood in Phnom Penh into four years of chaos and hardship. Through it all, Raami relies on the stories and poems her beloved father told her to keep herself and hope alive.
