Native American Treaties

The Clarke Historical Library at Central Michigan University will host a Native American student speaker discussing what treaties are and how their rules were enforced. This program will educate, inform and broaden understanding of the three tenants of treaties; land, education, and hunting and fishing. Funding assistance for this program was provided by the Michigan Humanities Council.

Michigan State University Professor Gordon Henry talks on "Love Medicine"

Dr. Henry, An Anishinabe poet and novelist is an enrolled member of the White Earth Chippewa Tribe of Minnesota and professor at MSU. He will discuss "Love Medicine" and Native American authors.
