Join us as we Kick-off Big Read 2013! Free copies of The Complete Stories and Poems of Edgar Allan Poe will be given away at the kick-off, while supplies last, thanks to the Friends of Cromaine. Cromaine’s first anthology of community art and writing premieres at this event—copies available for sale (and on Amazon) and writers in the anthology will read their works (and sign yours!). Edgar Allan Poe’s writing years were in the Victorian Age which lasted from June 1837 to January 1901. The style of dress varied during those years. Put on your creative bonnet and design an outfit – male or female – that reflects something from the Victorian Age. The first 20 people coming into the Village library starting at 9:00 am on Monday April 1 to pick up their bag of goodies and the rules will be entered into the contest. The results will be displayed at the fashion show to be held Saturday, April 20 at 10:00 am.
