Big Read Opening

Kick-Off the 2013 Big Read with a multi-faceted community event hosted by the Spackenkill High School Fine Arts Department. Dr. Joshua Kotzin of Marist College will give an overview of 'The Shawl' and its place in the canon of Holocaust literature and we will view a pre-recorded interview with author Cynthia Ozick. Spackenkill art students will exhibit their work in the lobby and the choral and instrumental music departments will perform selected Holocaust-related works throughout the program.
