Kickoff Celebration

This program will consist of keynote speaker, Jonathan R. Eller who is the Chancellor's Professor of English and Director of the Center for Ray Bradbury Studies at Indiana University. Other speakers will include a representative from the Pittsburgh's Mayor's Office and Community College of Allegheny College leadership. In addition, there will be a dramatic presentation, music and more.

Gregory Miller, English Teacher at Fox Chapel High School, who was a friend and mentee of Ray Bradbury, will give a presentation about Ray Bradbury entitled: The Man, The Writer, and Mentor. Gregory was the last writer that Ray Bradbury took under his wing for the last 10 years of his life and helped to shape Gregory’s writing and outlook on life. He will also have personal items on display that Ray Bradbury gave him, such as manuscripts, jewelry and clothing.
